acoustic treatment
sound absorption
Sound absorption refers to the process by which sound waves are broken up by a surface material. This is achieved by different materials absorbing different sound frequencies suited for your space.
This type of sound control is especially useful in modern offices, schools, and hospitals, basically any space where there is a lot of echo/reverb time caused by hard surfaces, and/or people, machinery making noise. Absorbing sound brings support the reduction of noise to a manageable level; better for our health, wellbeing and productivity.
diffusion
Diffusion improves the quality of your listening environment, making it more comfortable and enjoyable. It reduces sonic reflections, which makes voices sound more even and clear. This can be helpful in recording studios and concert venues, but is also beneficial in any space where sound needs to be evenly distributed.
sound proofing
Sound proofing is the process of preventing and eliminating sound movement. Most soundproofing is achieved using the principles of mass and decoupling. The only way to create a perfectly quiet room is by building a ‘room within a room’ with full decoupling.
Soundproofing is technically difficult however our sound proofing solutions are used leading recording studios and radio stations with great effect.
What difference does it make?
The audio clips below demonstrate the room before and after our treatment where we added broad band absorption as well as mid to high to deal with the flutter (Flutter echo is an energy that’s trapped between two parallel surfaces).
